Zlatan Sindicic

DirigentZlatan Sindicic is one of the founders and a resident conductor of the Croatian Ivan noble Zajc choir. He has led the choir to an enviable level of interpretation that resulted in numerous achievement awards and invitations to performances all over Croatia and Europe.

Maestro Sindicic was born in Zadar, where he finished his musical high-school education and attended a Gymnasium. He graduated mathematics and physics at the Teacher's Academy in Zadar. In 1979 he graduated at the Musical Academy in Zagreb (theoretical and teaching section). At that same time he graduated as a solo singer at Vatroslav Lisinski Musical School in the class of prof. Renata Seringer.

During his student years Zlatan Sindicic was giving piano lessons at the School of Rhythm and Dance, and also at Ivan Zajc Music School. He worked as a specialized associate at the Information and culture center Maksimir, and from 1982 until 1993 as a specialized associate for musical culture at the Croatian council of culture.

He is a member of Croatian association of freelance artists. In 1967 he joined Croatian musical singing society Zoranic in Zadar as a singer, and when he came to Zagreb as a young student he became a permanent member and singer in Ivan Goran Kovacic choir. Last few years (until 1982) he was also a conductor's assistant and musical assistant.

Maestro Sindicic has also been a permanent member of Zagreb madrigalists from their foundation in 1980 until 1985 when the group stopped performing.
